Our Services
We provide hands on point of injury medical training for working and active canines. We use a crawl (classroom), walk (hands on practical), run (scenarios) methodology for students to learn and become proficient with each topic.
Currently we offer the following courses:
K9 Operational Medicine
One or two-day course designed for Law Enforcement officers, TEMS and other tactical medics. The training covers: canine emergency point of injury care, heat injuries, GDV/Bloat and opioid exposure.
Minimum of 10 students required. 1 instructor to 15 students.
*K9 TCCC/TECC portion is based off military K9 TCCC and civilian K9 TECC guidelines
Adventure Pet
One-day course designed for active pet owners and Search and Rescue members. The training covers: heat and cold injuries, vital signs, basic bandaging, basic splinting and accidental ingestion.
Minimum of 20 students required. 1 instructor to 20 students.
Custom Courses and Medical Program Consultation
We work with the customer to put together training based off of their individual needs. Please contact us to set up your personal training plan or program consultation.
CRAWL PHASE
Students will receive in depth classroom instruction in each topic that the course consists of.
WALK PHASE
Students will participate in hands on instruction to learn and practice different bandaging and intervention techniques. Students will also participate in lower stress practical exercises and basic scenarios on live canines, humanely sourced cadaver dogs and canine models.
RUN PHASE
Students will participate and be tested with rigorous, in-depth scenarios. The scenarios replicate real-life situations that have resulted in working canine injuries. Scenarios are also tailored to the organizations’ or handlers’ specific training needs. The scenarios may involve humanely sourced cadaver dogs, canine manikins or canine models.
